Walt Disney was a American cartoonist known for his work with The Walt Disney Company. He was born on December 5, 1901 and died on December 15, 1966.

Early cartoons[]

His early works were the Laugh-O-Grams, the Disney Brothers' Studio, the Alice Comedies, and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. His work on Oswald the Lucky Rabbit would eventually serve as the inspirations for Mickey Mouse.

The Walt Disney Company[]

Mickey Mouse, the mascot and icon of Walt Disney's animation studio, first appeared in Disney's Plane Crazy, The Gallopin' Gaucho, and Steamboat Willie. Walt then placed Mickey to star in the Silly Symphonies cartoons where Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto would also rise to prominence.

Golden age of animation[]

The studio spearheaded the golden age of animation with classic cartoons, such as; Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Fantasia , Bambi, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and Wind in the Willows
